Donald Trump reacts to Pope Francis saying he is not a true Christian for wanting to build a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border. In Kiawah Island, South Carolina Trump called Vatican City the "ultimate trophy" for ISIS and that "if and when" it is attacked, the Pope "would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been president."
"The big thing, they want to get to the Vatican. So if and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS' ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the Pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been president," Trump said Thursday afternoon.
"Because this would not have happened. ISIS would have been eradicated, unlike what is happening now with our all-talk, no-action politicians," Trump added.
Here's what the Pope said:
POPE FRANCIS: A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the gospel.
