TED CRUZ: Marco Rubio is behaving like Donald Trump with a smile.
At the debate, I made two points about Marco Rubio's record on immigration. #1, Marco right now currently supports granting citizenship to the twelve million people here illegally. That is a fact. It is a fact he said just a couple of debates ago, on the debate stage that he currently supports it, and he acknowledged that Rubio supports it. And he said it on Meet The Press with Chuck Todd just a few weeks ago when he said he would grant citizenship to illegal aliens with criminal convictions...
In Florida he supported in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. That likewise is a fact, there is no grey area, no interpretation.
The third point I make. Is that Marco went on Univision, in Spanish, and said that on his first day in office he would not rescind Obama's illegal executive amnesty. That too is a fact. You can go watch the video, he said this on national television. This bizarre notion that somehow the words said on national television don't exist.
And Marco's response was exactly the same as Donald Trump's, to yell, 'liar, liar, liar.'
And indeed to respond with a quip: How would Ted know what I said on Univision, he doens't even speak Spanish...
That is a debater's trick Marco did, notice he didn't address any of the facts, the substance of anything I said, because the facts were true and accurate.
But instead both Marco and Donald, their strategy is to yell: Liar, liar, liar.
