Tucker Carlson: Trump Is Expanding The Republican Party

Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Jonah Goldberg and Charles Hurt discuss new national polls.

TUCKER CARLSON: The interesting thing about Trump's numbers when you break them down, is he is basically achieving what Republicans have wanted to achieve for about three presidential cycles.

He is bringing people in to the Republican fold who weren't there previously, some of them are conservatives, but Cruz is actually winning among conservatives in most states, but [Trump] is bringing in people who might actually vote Democrat, but aren't...

In N.H., for example, 79% of the people supporting Trump have said that's it, not changing my vote. Other candidates have much more fickle support. Who knows if it will last, but for now he is doing what they said they wanted to do, expanding the pool of voters...

Here's the question: If Trump is the nominee, will he get a higher proportion of black and Hispanic votes than Mitt Romney did in 2012? I'll take a thousand dollar bet with anybody on that. You know that he will.
