Trump to Alex Jones: Clinton's Greatest Legacy Will Be "Getting Out Of The Email Scandal"

|

Worlds collided Wednesday afternoon when presidential candidate Donald Trump appeared for an interview on the Alex Jones Show.

Transcript (minute 12:30)

ALEX JONES: Is it not time for impeachment hearings against Obama? What do we do politically to really prosecute Hillary Clinton?

DONALD TRUMP: Remember this, the best thing that we have going with Obama is that he’s got a year left. Because, by the time you do the hearings, I don't know... In a way you'll make him a martyr.

Other highlights:

"Clinton, she’s so corrupt, she’s so corrupt and she shouldn’t be allowed to run and frankly her greatest legacy – she was a horrible Secretary of State – …will be getting out of the email scandal," Trump said. "That’s what I think – it’ll be one of the greatest jobs I’ve ever seen of getting out of a scandal because General Petraeus and many others have been destroyed for doing five percent of what she did."

"She shouldn’t be allowed to run, but you know the recent Fox poll that just came down two days ago has me beating her head-to-head, which is very interesting, very good and beating her handily and soundly, but we have to get it right."

When discussing his claim about N.J. muslims celebrating on 9/11, he says to the host: "People wanted me to apologize... We can't do that. People like you and I can't do that so easily."

TRUMP: People have called in, and on twitter @realDonald Trump, they're all tweeting. I know what happened and I held my line. People wanted me to apologize, and we can't do that. People like you and I can't do that so easily. Now, we can do it if we are wrong. You apologize, I'd apoligize if I was wrong.

“I just want to finish by saying that your reputation’s amazing – I will not let you down – you will be very very impressed I hope and I think we’ll be speaking a lot but you’ll be looking at me in a year or two years, just give me a little bit of time to run things,” Trump told Jones.

“A year into office, you’ll be saying ‘wow I remember that interview, he said he was gonna do it and he did a great job’ – you’ll be very proud of our country,” added Trump.
