A woman in a Bloomberg conducted focus group described Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton as off-putting and "bitchy." The woman was disheartened by Clinton's "women need to be equal!" message.
"I don't feel unequal," she said.
"I agree," another woman said. "I don't feel unequal. I don't feel that I've had a job where I felt unequal to my male counterparts. So it's not an issue that speaks to me."
WOMAN: I think my opinion is a little more genuine in that she speaks articulately about her positions without having that edge or that scorn kind of woman thing. That's a little off-putting.
HALPERIN: Let's hear more about that.
WOMAN: I think that could put off a lot of male voters.
HALPERIN: Tell me what it's like, what you're seeing, what are you feeling?
WOMAN: You know, when she's -- I don't want to use the word, but bitchy. It's that like, 'women need to be equal!' I mean, I don't feel unequal.
