John Boehner: Immigration Reform Is "Almost Impossible" Because Obama Has "Stirred Up" The American People

House Speaker John Boehner says the issue of immigration reform has become a 15 year-long “political football” that will not get resolved until both Congress and the President get serious about possible resolutions, which is "almost impossible."

JOHN BOEHNER: We're looking at this. These are laws that are on the books. The are required to be enforced, there is no ifs ands or buts here. The fact is that some cities have decided to ignore the law, it is wrong. It is flat out wrong...

I've been trying to do immigration reform for four years. The president said 22 times that he didn't have the authority to do what he eventually did. What the president has done is he has poisoned the well, he has stirred up the American people in such a way so it would be almost impossible to pass immigration reform given the environment that we are dealing with.
