NYU Professor: After Leaving Euro, Greece "Would Become A Small Country Of The Middle East," Dominated By Turkey

|

NYU economics professor tells the Russian English-language TV station that a "No" vote in today's referendum would mean an exit from the Euro-zone which would destroy Greece.

NICHOLAS ECONOMIDES, NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, SCHOOL OF BUSINESS: If the majority of Greeks vote "No" I am afraid there will be no deal, Greece will be out of the Euro, it will have its own currency, and it will become a small country of the middle east, subject to the whims of the bigger powers of the middle east, such as Turkey. It will be a national disaster for Greece.
