In a phone interview on MSNBC tonight following the tragedy that left 9 people dead at an historic black church in Charleston in a shooting attack by a white gunman Al Sharpton sounded like he would likely visit the most oldest city in South Carolina.
"Do you have any plans to go down there?" a MSNBC anchor asked Sharpton.
"Again, I'm back and forth on the phone. I will do whatever is helpful to the families and the situation," Sharpton said.
UPDATE: Local news reports Sharpton will indeed visit Charleston.
