Chris Christie, making a 2016 announcement "next month," appeared on Fox News Wednesday morning to discuss the presidential election and candidates.
NEW JERSEY GOVERNOR CHRIS CHRISTIE: Everybody has to decide how important it is to be in that debate, and I think it is important. And so I'm sure some people will have to make that decision. I don't think if we ran, we would have to make that kind of decision in terms of spending, but the fact is some others might, and we will see how that affects the race.
BRIAN KILMEADE: Is it fair? Are you ok with that decision, that Fox News decision to [limit the debate to only the top ten polling candidates?
CHRIS CHRISTIE: I think you have got to have some limit on it, because [otherwise] no one will have a chance to speak if you have too many people up there. If you're not in the top ten, of course, I'm sure you wouldn't be.
Christie's thoughts on the other candidates:
Carly Fiorina: "Very bright woman who has had a lot to say in this race so far, so I think she is an important voice in this race."
Marco Rubio: "Very smart guy, I know him personally, I like him."
Jeb Bush: "I worked with Gov. Bush during hurricane sandy, he gave me a lot of good advice, I've known him for a long time and I like him."
Scott Walker: "Scott and I have known each other for a long time, I campaigned for him."
Hillary Clinton: "She appears like she's going to be the Democratic nominee... Right now I don't think she has said much worthy of comment."
