Bill Bratton: NYPD Has Shown "Remarkable Restraint" After "Great Provocation"

NYC police commissioner Bill Bratton joins Chuck Todd on Meet the Press.

BILL BRATTON: The common ground here is really to, one, as we've been doing in New York, is to deal with the demonstrations in a way so that they don't turn into police riots, to allow some breathing room in the sense that we're allowing people to demonstrate, to vent, and at the same time, showing, on the part of the police, remarkable restraint in the face of great provocation. My cops have been doing a phenomenal job.
