BRIT HUME: The more interesting question, Megyn, tonight is as we look at this extraordinary upset is what does this tell us about the role of the tea party within the Republican party? And what it tells me is the Republican party cannot ignore the tea party. It must find a way to fuse together the wings of its party to be able to have a winning season. Now, it might be able to win this fall because the odds in the arithmetic and the issues and the circumstances are so bad for the Democrats, but looking -- going farther out the Republican party has to find a way to make peace with itself and both its wings and the tea party remains a tremendous source of energy as it proved tonight in electing this long shot candidate or nominating this long shot candidate. A tremendous source of energy.
