On the Tuesday broadcast of CNBC's Squawk Box, reporter Steve Liesman said the network should play "Mexican music" while it talks about Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and September's jobs report. The report, which usually comes out on the first Friday of the following month, was delayed due to the government shutdown. Liesman, who usually takes the Obama administration position, often gets into arguments with CNBC colleague Rick Santelli.
"We're going to call this the 'Senator Ted Cruz jobs report.' These are the jobless claims of Sen. Ted Cruz," Liesman said.
"There he is!" Liesman reacted as a picture of Cruz was displayed on the screen. "Can we get some music to go along with that? Some Mexican music, maybe?"
