BRET BAIER: Senator, quickly. Tea party supporters point to the $2 billion fund for a dam project in Kentucky, saying that was a deal for you. You deny that.
SEN. MITCH MCCONNELL (R-KY): Well, I didn't request it, but it saved taxpayers $160 million. It was requested by President Obama, by the Senator from Tennessee, a Senator from California. It happened to be physically located in Kentucky. It's related to the inland waterway system and had that step not been taken, it would have cost taxpayers $160 million. Imagine that, we actually saved $160 million in a spending bill.
