Romney Questions Gingrich's "Conservative Credentials"

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney responds to Newt Gingrich saying he is "a lot more conservative" than the former Massachusetts governor. "I don't claim to be the perfect candidate, I just claim to be a lot more conservative than Mitt Romney. And a lot more electable than anyone else," Gingrich said earlier this week.

"I would take exception with him on his characterization of his 'conservative credentials' relative to mine or his electability, that’s something which time will tell," Mitt Romney said on Sean Hannity's radio show.

"We'll get a good chance to see our positions on issues and electability, of course, is always something which changes over time as people get a closer look at folks. So we'll see how that works out," he said. "I don’t want to take exception with him. I'll just say, look, we'll see how that plays out over time and let people make their own judgement."
