Did Rahm forget to vote for Quigley?

Today’s special election to succeed Rahm Emanuel in Congress is getting such little attention that even Rahm himself forget to vote.

At least that’s what Air Force officer and political junkie Nate Van Loon is reporting from Baghdad during the president’s visit there today.

On his Twitter feed, Van Loon asked Emanuel whether he sent in his absentee ballot for Democrat Mike Quigley today.

“I jokingly asked Rahm if he sent in his absentee ballot to vote for Quigley. He paused and said I ****ed up!” Van Loon wrote.

Quigley is running against Republican Rosanna Pulido and Green Party candidate Matt Reichel in a North Shore Chicago district that gave President Obama 73 percent of the vote.
