An Emanuel endorsement?

Even though Rahm Emanuel has not endorsed a candidate to succeed him in Congress, there’s a sign on his lawn back home for state Rep. Sara Feigenholtz, one of the 12 Democrats running in next Tuesday’s special election primary.

Several Illinois operatives believed that his wife, Amy Rule, put up the sign to show her support for Feigenholtz. As the only serious female candidate in the crowded field, Feigenholtz is targeting her campaign message to women voters.

She has been the leading fundraiser in the Democratic field, but faces tough competition in Cook County Commissioner Mike Quigley and state Rep. John Fritchey -- and several other second-tier candidates – for the nomination.
