Couple blames Coleman for son's death in DSCC ad

Al Franken isn’t mentioned at all in the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s powerful ad against Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.). He doesn’t need to be.

The ad features Nancy and Claremont Anderson, who blame Coleman for their son’s death in Iraq. Their son, Major Stuart Anderson, died in a helicopter crash in Iraq in 2006.

“I don’t blame the army for our son’s death. I just blame the bad policies on President Bush, Norm Coleman, who voted for this,” Nancy Anderson says in the ad. “If Norm Coleman would have stood up to the President and said this is not a good idea, maybe he would have listened.”
