An 'American-made' candidate

For a preview of the type of advertisements that Democratic candidates will be running in Southern, conservative House districts, take a look at this spot from Kentucky state senator David Boswell.

Boswell is running against Republican state senator Brett Guthrie for the seat of retiring GOP congressman Ron Lewis. (We wrote earlier about how the DCCC is spending nearly $1 million in the largely-rural district, even though President Bush carried it by a 31-point margin in 2004.)

In the ad, he rails against “bad trade deals” like NAFTA, and proudly proclaims his opposition to abortion rights, higher taxes and his support of the Second Amendment.

“David Boswell, American-made,” the narrator says at the end of the ad.
