NRCC outraises DCCC in July

The National Republican Congressional Committee had one of its most successful fundraising months to date, outraising their Democratic counterpart by over $3 million in July.

The NRCC raised $9.2 million in July, and ended the month with $14 million in its campaign account. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $6 million but still holds a substantial financial advantage with $56.4 million cash on hand.

The DCCC also outspent the NRSC, $4.2 million to $3.5 million.

Much of the House Republicans’ fundraising success can be attributed to members’ transferring money from their own campaign committees last month to help out their more vulnerable Republican colleagues. At least 70 members chipped in with contributions, most of which were over $100,000.

On the Senate side, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee continued to outpace the National Republican Senatorial Committee in July fundraising. The DSCC raised $5.3 million, and ended the month with $43 million in its campaign account. The NRSC raised $3.7 million and banked $25.4 million.
