One candidate in Haiti's presidential runoff election is campaigning in Florida.

Michel Martelly will meet Thursday with the Haitian-American community in Tampa. Another Haitian musician, Pras Michel of the Fugees, is expected to join him to launch a project supporting earthquake survivors in the Tampa Bay area.

Martelly is a popular singer better known as "Sweet Micky." He faces former first lady Mirlande Manigat in Haiti's March 20 runoff vote.

Both were among 19 presidential candidates in Haiti's flawed initial election in November. That vote was followed by protests, riots and outrage until earlier this month when an international team of experts from the Organization of American States found problems with the vote count and declared Martelly and Manigat the top two finishers.
