Mayoral candidate withdraws from Wilmington race

The Associated Press

The longtime director of a Wilmington nonprofit who announced last month that he was running for mayor in the city has dropped out of the race.

Paul Calistro Jr., executive director of the West End Neighborhood House, told the News Journal of Wilmington on Monday that the campaign was conflicting with his ability to serve people at the West End. (http://delonline.us/s8JkHC)

Three others have announced they intend to seek the Democratic party nomination. Incumbent James Baker cannot run again because of term limits.
