Martha Roby (R-2nd District)

About: A former member of the Montgomery City Council, Roby was one of four freshman members of the House Republican transition team. Additionally, she and her colleague Terri Sewell will make history by becoming the first women to represent the state of Alabama in the House. She will serve on the House Armed Services and Agriculture committees.

Election Results:
Martha Roby (R): 51.1%
Bobby Bright (D): 48.9%


Mo Brooks (R-5th District)

About: Brooks, a former member of the Alabama House of Representatives, has served as Madison County district attorney and as a member of the Madison County Commission. He will have a seat on the the House Armed Services and Science and Technology committees.

Election Results:
Mo Brooks (R): 57.9%
Steve Raby (D): 42.1%


Terri Sewell (D-7th District)

About: Sewell, who worked for then-Democratic Sen. Richard Shelby during college, was the first black female partner at Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. in Birmingham. Additionally, she will be the first black woman to represent Alabama in the House of Representatives.

Election Results:
Terri Sewell (D): 72.5%
Don Chamberlain (R): 27.5%
