RealClear Election 2016

Throughout the 2016 election cycle, voters have a more vocal and immediate reaction to campaign events than ever before. With data provided by Google Trends, RealClearPolitics is analyzing voter interest in realtime.

Information is based off Google's search index numbers which represent the total number of searches for a topic or a keyword divided by the total number of searches in that geographical location.

RealClearPolitics picked 10 battleground states to highlight voter interest as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump fight for votes. Additionally, RCP created an index of red states and blue states to compare how issues in the battleground states do next to issues in traditionally-leaning states. Finally, data for all 50 states is available in the map below. Just click on the state of your choice.
