Rep. Ric Keller (R) was surprised by how close his 2006 election was. He was forced to spend more than 5 times as much on the race as he had in 2004. He has another tough race this year, facing Alan Grayson (D), who is highly-educated and both a lawyer and successful businessman. A large cash advantage at the last reporting date in early August gives Keller an edge heading into the final stretch.
