By Tim Hains - September 20, 2012

Nevada Republican Sen. Dean Heller and his challenger, Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley, are now locked in a virtual tie, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

Heller has the support of 42 percent of likely voters polled, while Berkley has 41 percent. Four percent of respondents plan to vote for another candidate, while 12 percent are still undecided.

Heller's support has dropped since July, when he led by nine points in another Rasmussen poll. He currently leads by 2.6 percent in the RCP Average.

The Rasmussen poll was conducted among 500 likely voters on Sept. 18. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
