January 12, 2009Burris Honored to be Next Senator
Today, it was announced that Democratic leaders were prepared to seat Roland Burris in the U.S. Senate. Burris held a press conference in Chicago and said he was honored to be Illinois junior senator.
He also took a moment to thank Illinois Secretary of State, and said that he was "an honorable man."
