December 06, 2008Obama Announces Public Works Program
In his weekly address, President-elect Obama announced that he would be proposing a massive public works program to employ Americans. He says that his administration will put up the largest investment in infrastructure since the country built the interstate system. The plan also calls for investment in the country's public schools, health care information technology and the greater access to broadband Internet.
Obama also said that he would work to lower the energy bills of government buildings.
