September 27, 2008New Ads in Oregon Senate Race
There are new ads in the U.S. Senate race between Republican Sen. Gordon Smith and Democratic challenger Jeff Merkley.
"A Decade" is a Merkley ad that criticizes Smith for Washington's economic policies and says there has been "a decade of no accountability."
"Elizabeth" features former U.S. Representative Elizabeth Furse, a "liberal Democrat," citing Smith's "honesty and integrity" and crediting him with standing up to his own party on a number of issues.
