Taking a break from the 2008 Campaign, here's news from Detroit.
Last night, Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick apologized to Detroit for a scandal that involves an affair with his former chief-of-staff Christine Beatty. The scandal caused Beatty to resign earlier this week. In a whistleblower suit last year, Beatty and the mayor both testified that no affair took place. The new revelations have sparked an investigation by the Wayne County Prosecutor.
