“Countdown” guest host David Shuster consults Rep. Steve Israel (D-N.Y.), chair of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, to get his take on John Boehner’s latest attempt to force the issue of the Keystone XL pipeline by attaching it to an upcoming bill. Says Israel, “This is why the American people no longer trust them, and this is why there’s this buyer’s remorse.” Israel also speaks of his committee’s Drive to 25 initiative to take back Democratic control of the House, saying the candidates involved will aim to “reignite the American dream, rebuild the middle class and restore economic strength.”
