"Real Time" Panel Discusses If Obama Will Run On His Record
Rick Lazio, Wes Moore, Suze Orman and host Bill Maher discuss President Obama's strategy in his run for a second term. Maher says he should run on his record as it has been successful, Orman agrees with the same reasoning.
"I think he can run on his record," an optimistic Bill Maher said. "I think it's coming around to be a pretty good record."
"He's done so much these past four years," Orman said after Maher finished praising President Obama's economic policy and achievements.
Wes Moore uses his time to share that he is "honored" by social achievements under Obama's administration such as healthcare for all and the repeal of the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.
"When I hear this argument, which every politician talks about when they're running. 'Are you better off than you were four years ago?' From Reagan in 1980. Fuck yeah, I'm better off. I mean four years ago I was shitting in my pants. Remember four years ago? I mean we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. I was pointing my guns at shadows and noises. I was taking money out of the bank and putting in to my mattress," Maher said.
