Fineman said that some of Gingrich's friends "strongly advised him to go all the way to the convention, and they didn't have to do a lot of convincing. He wants to do it, but they also want to do it because they want to keep raising money, and they want to raise money based on the idea that there's an ideological fight that needs to be waged for the good of the soul of the party in the conservative movement all the way to the convention."
