Romney Airs Controversial Ad In FL Of NBC News Story On Gingrich
Mitt Romney has a thirty-second advertisement airing in Florida that consists just of a 1997 report about Newt Gingrich and his ethics violation on NBC's "Nightly News" with anchor Tom Brokaw. The ad is titled "History Lesson."
Brokaw has strongly objected to the ad, since it is just an extended clip of him.
"I am extremely uncomfortable with the extended use of my personal image in this political ad. I do not want my role as a journalist compromised for political gain by any campaign," Brokaw said in a statement.
According to CNN, NBC News is asking the Romney campaign to take down the ad.
