Wasserman Schultz: Romney Refuses To "Come Clean" About His Record
"I think we've been able to, throughout the early primary process, you know, put him back on his heels because he's out of touch with middle class and working families. He continues, Tamron, to refuse to come clean about his own financial record. Why won't he release his tax returns?," DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz told MSNBC this afternoon.
"He won't be honest and forthright about what his real role at Bain Capital was, which was a corporate raider who outsourced jobs to other countries and deliberately bankrupted companies. When you have a record that is really as unacceptable as his is, it's not surprising that he would lash out at the person who would be pointing that out," she added. "Tamron, even the middle class Republicans now are upset and are leaving Mitt Romney here in South Carolina because, you know, at the end of the day if you're a Republican or Democrat you just want your candidates to be upright and forthright and honest."
