Mitt Romney warned voters on Friday night that his double-digit lead in New Hampshire could just "disappear overnight."
"We’re in a real battle right now. I know some pollsters say I’m doing real well. Let me tell you, those polls, they can just disappear overnight," Mitt Romney said at a spaghetti dinner in Tilton, NH.
Romney also likened his support in the polls, and lack of support, to "going on a date." Romney was making the point that voters who are not backing him in the polls right now may eventually support him after they exhaust their support for other candidates.
"What you say to a pollster is a bit like going on a date. You know, it’s like 'Well, I might try this but you know, getting married, that’s something else.' So, you guys, we need to make sure that you’re working real hard."
