Specter: "Country Not Doing So Well With Current Administration"
Former Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA), once a Republican (and also a Democratic prior to that), had some harsh words for President Obama and his administration on CNN. Specter said the country is not doing well under Obama. He also said he may not even get involved in showing support for the Democratic ticket.
"I am not going to get on the Republican side of the Iowa primaries. I might not even get involved in the Democratic side," Specter told CNN.
"I think that what is really an issue here is that the country has been run by the extremists on both sides. You have the tea party on the far right really in control. And I think that's bad for the country. But, then again, the country is not doing well with the current administration. So, I think the national election is going to be a healthy thing," he added.
