Capehart: White Republicans Afraid To Criticize Cain Because He's Black
Criticizing Herman Cain seemed to be the topic du jour on today's edition of "Morning Joe." First, host Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski yukked it up about how uncalculating the current GOP frontrunner is. Then a columnist, who is quite critical of Cain, shares his latest thought about white Republicans and their treatment of black conservatives.
"I think it's safe to say that there is nothing calculating about Herman Cain," host of "Morning Joe" Joe Scarborough said on today's show.
"Oh my God, it's making it up as you go along in the worst way!" Mika also opined.
Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart said white Republicans are afraid to chastise Herman Cain because he is black on Wednesday's "Morning Joe." No joke.
"Why is it that Herman Cain is not being criticized? I have to tell you, I wonder if there are Republicans, white Republicans, who are just afraid to criticize a black candidate for president? And I have to say, and I say it with a hand grenade, and I have to say, we’re talking about President of the United States. We’re not talking about some piddly position. He needs to be held accountable," Capehart pondered on the Wednesday's edition of "Morning Joe."
