Herman Cain Explains And Responds To Harassment Claim On Greta
Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain for the first time revealed details of what he says led to sexual harassment charges while he was CEO of the National Restaurant Association in an interview with Greta Van Susteren on Fox News Monday night.
“I can’t even remember her name, but I do remember the formal allegation she made in terms of sexual harassment,” Cain said of one of his accusers who he recalled was a writer in the association’s communications department. “She was in my office one day, and I made a gesture saying, and I was standing close to her, and I made a gesture saying, ‘You are the same height as my wife.’ And I brought my hand up to my chin saying my wife comes up to my chin.”
Greta van Susteren, FOX News: "Did any one of these women, were they ever asked to meet you, or … ?"
Herman Cain: "That, I absolutely do not recall. You know, I have no recollection of that."
Van Susteren: "Was there any behavior on your part that you think might have been inappropriate?"
Cain: "In my opinion, no. But as you would imagine it’s in the eye of the person who thinks that maybe I crossed the line."
