"They made an egregious error here, but theirs was largely a political analysis, and that is what we should focus on," former Obama senior adviser in the White House and current reelection campaign strategist David Axelrod told "Face the Nation" about Standard & Poor's downgrade of the US' credit rating.
This was on the "backs of the people who wanted to see the country default." Axelrod called those people the "strident" members of the Republican party. "Thisis essentially a tea party downgrade," Axelrod declared.
