Wisconsin Gov. Walker: Layoff Notices Could Be Sent Soon
Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wisc.) talks about possible layoffs of state workers if his controversial union bill isn't passed. Walker said workers would not be laid off immediately.
Speaking on WISC-TV's "News 3 This Morning," the governor said notices are required ahead of layoffs under current state worker contracts. He wouldn't say which departments would be the first to see the cuts, only saying those working in the Department of Corrections and in prisons would likely be exempt.
