Clinton Confirms Attempt To Broker Deal With Meek
Former President Bill Clinton confirms to CNN he had a conversation with Rep. Kendrick Meek (D-FL) about dropping his bid for the U.S. Senate.
"At the end, I told him what he felt was right," Clinton told CNN.
"It would be wrong for me to discuss" the situation further.
Clinton denied the White House playing any part in the issue.
CNN's Ed Henry says the White House was in fact aware of this and was "hopeful" there would be a deal.
