Sen. Sessions On Politicization Of Justice Department
"It's clear on immigration, for example, that they made commitments during the last campaign and when dutiful law officers attempted to raid a place that had illegal aliens, [Secretary of Homeland Security] Napolitano said that she was going to get to the bottom of it. What she meant was, she was going to go after the agent who did his job. Once again, Arizona now is attempting to try to help enforce the laws of immigration in the United States and the Attorney General's office is suing the state," Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) said. Sen. Sessions adds this is a "dark day" in the Department of Justice. "I don't think they understand just how irresponsible, how unbelievable this lawsuit is against Arizona," Sessions said.
