Thad Allen: "Ultimately, I'm Accountable"
Admiral Thad Allen, National Incident Commander, is questioned about how much oil they (the Coast Guard) thought was spilled. Allen also discussed how much access he had to BP and who was really in charge. Allen said he doesn't know about the amount spilled and he had no access to BP "We are accountable for oversight, BP is accountable," Thad Allen said. However he said "Ultimately, I'm accountable."
