Obama: "Government Will do Whatever It Takes" To Stop Gulf Crisis
UPI: "We're dealing with a massive and potentially unprecedented environmental disaster" President Obama said. "It could extend for a long time. It could jeopardize the livelihood of thousands of Americans who call this place home." Noting that the nature of the leak is "unique and unprecedented," Obama said it could take "many days to stop" it but the emphasis will be on trying to stop it before it hits the shore. "Your government will do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to stop this crisis," he said.
