Sen. Alexander: "Bunker Mentality" Of WH Bad For Country
"I think it is counter-productive to view either Democrats or Republicans as enemies or to characterize your adversaries as enemies because on one issue we might disagree and on the next issue we might agree," Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) told RealClearPolitics in an exclusive interview. "I think the President is very effective in making his case. I think he needs to make it well, advocate strongly, fight for his positions, but not think those of us that might disagree with him from time to time as enemies and not allow his aides to develop a Bunker mentality," he concluded.
