POLITICO: Rep. Peter Hoekstra (R-Mich.) said President Obama’s plan for health care reform is a cloaked effort to dismantle a private sector and establish government-run system. Hoekstra said Obama and congressional Democrats are saying, “‘We’re going to put a government plan out there. We’re going to keep the insurance companies honest’ – fully intending that in five, 10 or 15 years, the private sector plan is going to be gone.” “So you think that this is the end of private health care?” Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe host, asked Hoekstra.
