Obama "Deeply Troubled" By Reaction To Iranian Elections
"We respect Iranian sovereignty," President Obama said of the growing rebellion to the nation's elections held last week. Obama added he was "deeply troubled" by the reaction.
Obama said he wanted the United States to avoid being the issue instead of Iran. He called discussions including Iran and the United States a "political football."
"We will continue to pursue a tough, direct dialogue between our two countries and we'll see where it takes us," Obama said. He continued and said people are "watching."
Obama's believes the "Iranian people's voices should be heard and respected."
