Flashback: Obama Campaigned On Pro-Gay Agenda
A video compiling has surfaced containing statements then-candidate Sen. Barack Obama made on the campaign trail concerning gay equality and marriage. "My parents got married in 1960, 1961. It would have been illegal for them to be married in a number of states in the South. So obviously, this is something that I understand intimately, it's something I care about," Obama says about the marriage of his own parents. "Young people are ahead of the curve on this issue. I think it is important for the rest of the country to catch up and make sure everybody is treated the same regardless of sexual orientation," Obama also says in the video.
