Sen. Graham On Closing Gitmo, What To Do With Prisoners
Sen. Graham reacted to a clip of President Obama getting applause for saying this during his Cairo speech today: "I have unequivocally prohibited the use of torture by the United States. And I have orderered the prison at Guantanamo Bay closed by early next year." Here is Sen. Graham, on C-SPAN, reacting to the President's remarks: "People are not clapping here. It's our nation that's going to have to deal with these prisoners. They're not going to Egypt. And the problem the President has created for himself and the country -- and quite frankly for a guy like me who wants to help him -- by announcing that you are going to close the prison and get applause throughout the world, you've made Americans wonder what are we going to do with these people."
