Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) says Sonia Sotomayor's "American experience" of "overcoming incredible odds" makes her "incredibly qualified" to serve on the Supreme Court.

Sen. McCaskill was unaware that Sotomayor had once said " would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life."
